FILTECH BAG FILTER

CONSTRUCTION
Filtech's direct pulse fabric filter unit is of the dust-tight compartmental type, containing filter bags attached to a tube sheet. The tube sheet seals the filter bag compartment from the top plenum, which also contains the exhaust opening for the cleaned air/gas. The bag cleaning mechanism consist of blow pipes, header pipe/air manifold with solenoid operated diaphragm valves energized and controlled by an electronic sequential pulse control timer. The compresed air is supplied to the blow pipes through diaphragm valves mounted on the header pipe/ compressed air manifold.


OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Filtering Process
Dust laden air/gas enters the bag filter through the inlet provided on the casing where heavy particles are induced to settle out of the air/gas stream into the hopper, and air/gas carrying finer dust is evenly distributed around the filter bags. The air passes through the filter bags  depositing these finer dust particles on the bags outer surface with the cleaned air/gas flowing to the outlet through the top plenum. Usually an exhaust manifold is used to carry the clean air/gas to the atmosphere . The bag filter is designed to operate under either negative or positive pressure.

Bag Cleaning Process
An electronic sequential timer operates diaphragm valves, which feed pulses of compressed air to the inside of the filter bags for set periods of time at predetermined intervals. This action dislodges the dust accumulated on the outside of the bags. The dust falls into the hopper and is removed by the rotary valve to the exterior of the bag house for collection.
